The 7th Deloitte Scholarship Award Ceremony and Cooperation Agreement Renewal Ceremony took place on November 5, 2022, at the Guanghua Campus of the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics.Li Xusheng, National Lead Partner of Tax & Business Advisory at Deloitte (China), Xie Yulian, National Lead Partner of the Professional Environmental Services and Global Delivery Center of Deloitte (China), Deloitte (China) Tax & Business Advisory West China managing partner Tang Weidong Partner Zhang Shu of Deloitte (China) Tax & Business Advisory, Zhang Qunyi, Senior Manager of Tax & Business Advisory and Other Related Services at Deloitte (China), Zhang Bangfu, a member of the Party Committee's Standing Committee and vice president of the university, He Jiaming, the dean of the School of Public Finance and Taxation(SPFT), Wu Chunli, the party committee's secretary of SPFT, Liu Rong, the chairman of the professorial committee of SPFT, Lv Min, the vice dean of SPFT, Hao Xiaowei, the director of the taxation education center of SPFT, and other faculty and student representatives were all present for the award ceremony.
Prof. Zhang Bangfu expressed his sincere gratitude to Deloitte China for its tireless efforts on behalf of the industry and enterprise economic development, as well as the institution's professional talent development and training. He said that this renewal ceremony is an important milestone and a new starting point for the in-depth cooperation between the two sides and will continue to lead the critical practice of integrating industry and education in taxation in the future.
Mr. Li Xusheng expressed his gratitude to the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics for cultivating numerous elite talents. He recognized the results of the in-depth cooperation between the university and enterprises in the past ten years, such as the Deloitte Elite Challenge and Tax Scholarship. He urged the students to remember the school's motto, "rigorous, diligent, thrifty, realistic, and pioneering," as well as the meaning of Deloitte's motto, "respecting morality and cultivating professionalism and being diligent in their work," to study thoroughly in their professional fields, to be diligent, never to forget their original intention, to persist in their dreams, to be innovative, and to live up to their youth.
Ms. Xie Yulian used her experience of winning scholarships as a student to actively encourage students to stay motivated, learn from the past, identify the source of problems, and constantly motivate themselves to move forward. She also acknowledged the ongoing efforts of the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in developing outstanding talents for the finance and taxation industry.

Following the Deloitte Scholarship Award Ceremony, Mr. Tang Weidong and Mr. He Jiaming signed the cooperation agreement for continued cooperation in the presence of the attendees from both sides.
Prof. He Jiaming said in his concluding speech that this is the third renewal of the cooperation agreement between the two sides.
